Manuscript Template and Author Certificates
All manuscripts submitted to JBSS must be prepared using the official journal template. Eligible authors also receive formal certificates at key stages of the editorial and publication process.

Prepare your article using the official JBSS template
Authors must use the official Journal of Biomedical & Space Sciences manuscript template when preparing and submitting their work.
The template contains the journal's required article structure, typography, page dimensions, headings, abstract format, keywords, references, tables, figures, ethical declarations, author contributions, funding information, data availability statement, and final submission checklist.
Authors should replace all instructional text and placeholders with their manuscript content while preserving the predefined layout and styles.

Main requirements included in the document
Article identification
Article type, concise title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details, email address, and ORCID identifiers.
Summary and keywords
A structured, self-contained summary of 150–250 words and 4–8 keywords, preferably selected from recognized controlled vocabularies.
Scientific structure
Introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references, and article-specific reporting requirements.
Tables and figures
Instructions for editable tables, figure placement, image resolution, captions, legends, abbreviations, and supplementary files.
Ethics and transparency
Ethics approval, informed consent, funding, data availability, acknowledgments, conflicts of interest, and responsible AI disclosure.
Final checklist
A final verification checklist helps authors confirm that the manuscript, metadata, citations, files, and declarations are complete.

Technical screening
Manuscripts may be returned before peer review
A submission may be returned to the corresponding author when the official template has not been used, required sections are missing, instructional text remains in the document, or the manuscript does not comply with the journal's formatting and submission requirements.
Author recognition
Certificates issued by JBSS
Certificate of Acceptance
After a manuscript receives a formal final acceptance decision, the journal may issue a Certificate of Acceptance to the authors.
The certificate confirms that the manuscript has successfully completed the editorial evaluation and has been accepted for publication, subject to completion of any remaining production requirements.
Certificate of Publication
After the article is formally published on the JBSS website, the journal may issue a Certificate of Publication to the authors.
The certificate identifies the published article and may include the title, author names, publication date, volume, article number, and DOI, when available.
Certificate conditions
Certificates are linked to the official editorial record
Certificates are issued only after the relevant editorial event has been formally recorded in the JBSS submission system.
A Certificate of Acceptance does not replace the published article, DOI record, acceptance decision letter, or final publication metadata. Certificates may be corrected or reissued when verified bibliographic information changes.
