How it works

Payment process

Payment is requested only after the corresponding author receives the journal’s official acceptance decision.

1

Editorial decision

The manuscript completes editorial evaluation and peer review.

2

Formal acceptance

The corresponding author receives the official acceptance decision.

3

Payment instructions

The journal provides the applicable amount, currency, and payment instructions.

Editorial independence

Payment does not influence editorial decisions

The existence or payment of an APC has no influence on the evaluation, selection, or publication priority of a manuscript.

Payment does not influence:

  • the peer-review process;
  • editorial decisions;
  • reviewer selection;
  • manuscript acceptance;
  • publication priority.
All editorial decisions are based exclusively on the academic quality, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance of the manuscript.

Published articles

Post-publication changes

Author-requested changes or updates after publication may be subject to an administrative fee of:

R$ 35.00

for payments made in Brazil

Corrections required because of an editorial or production error caused by the journal will be made without charge.

Requests involving corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, or other matters of research integrity will be handled according to the journal’s editorial and publication ethics policies.

Financial policy

Refund policy

APCs are normally non-refundable after the article has been published and assigned a DOI.

If publication cannot be completed because of a technical or editorial issue attributable to the journal, the case will be evaluated individually.

Transparency commitment

Acceptance is never guaranteed by payment

The existence or payment of an APC does not guarantee manuscript acceptance. All submissions must complete the journal’s editorial evaluation and peer-review process.

Authors will never be asked to pay an APC before receiving a formal acceptance decision.
